From a homeless shelter, she navigated the daily struggles of life as a single mother. Every day was a balancing act, filled with the challenges of providing for her family while trying to secure a better future. She began with small steps. First, she learned to navigate the Dallas bus system, and even though it means spending over 2 hours on busses each day, Brenda found ways to get her kids to school and herself to a job. Today, Brenda has a new job at a doctors office and has reached a place of stability where she has the resources to care for a vehicle, but she cannot afford one. She is still riding the bus 2 hours a day, which severely limits where she and her kids can go and what services are available to them. Through her advocate at Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, OnRamp DFW has taken Brenda as a client and are excited to be the ones to give her a vehicle and share the message of God’s grace and providential love for her family!
