Who Can Be Nominated?

Check back on September 1st for more information on when they will reopen. Due to a high volume of requests, we are pausing nominations for our vehicle donation program as we focus on our waitlist. In the meantime, see below for information about our Client qualifications.

 Advocates must be able to vouch for the character and determination of the person they are nominating, and must be willing to help the client continue to meet future goals.

Verify that your nominee meets ALL of these requirements to be considered for our program.

  1. Nominee lives in one of the following 4 counties: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Rockwall.

  2. Nominee has a valid Texas driver’s license with an up-to-date address.

  3. Nominee has positive monthly net income of at least $300 taking all income sources and debts into account.

  4. Nominee has the ability to procure and pay for car insurance.

  5. Nominee has a full time job of at least 30+ hours per week. (Exceptions to this rule may be granted if proof of stable income is provided, but contact us before proceeding.)

  6. Nominee or nominee’s immediate family does not already have a vehicle. (Exceptions to this rule may be granted, but contact us before proceeding.) Also, note that outside of the cars that we give away, we do not provide car repairs.

  7. Nominee is at least two years sober from any drug or alcohol addiction. (Exceptions to this rule may be granted, but contact us before proceeding.)

  8. Nominee is at least two years past any imprisonment, parole, or probation. (Exceptions to this rule may be granted, but contact us before proceeding.)

Nominations Are Currently Closed

Please note our timeline. From nomination to car donation, the process can take anywhere from 3-6 months. However a variety of factors play into this timeline and your situation may differ.

Once a nomination has been submitted, we will review it and, if we decide to move forward, will send the potential client a full application to fill out. That full application gets into goals, finances, and vehicular needs. Once they complete the application, if all qualifications are met, we will schedule an in-person interview with you, your nominee, and our Client Care Team.
