From Survival to Success

How one gift is changing a life

At just 19 years old, our anonymous client #37 (not pictured) has already survived more than most will in a lifetime. As a teenager, her childhood was marked by exploitation and survival. With an absent father and a homeless mother, “starting over” felt impossible. But her story doesn’t end there - it’s just beginning. Thanks to the support of a caring community, a commitment to changing her life for the better, and one life-changing donation, she is on a new path.

Last month, OnRamp DFW and GDL Ministries was able to partner with a local rescue organization to donate a reliable used car to her. Now, with her own transportation, she can attend college classes, pursue stable housing, and reclaim a life she was never given a chance to build. Her dreams of becoming a lawyer are becoming more of a reality every day.

This client’s journey is a reminder that with support, survivors can thrive. And sometimes, God uses just one act of kindness - one car, one opportunity - to change everything.
