Clients 58 & 59: Cars Cross Cultures

The last week has been so much fun! (And I’m not just talking about all the snow ice we’ve had). In the last 7 days we had 2 more giveaways. That’s two more families that are starting off 2026 down a new road of hope.

Who is my neighbor?

One of the sweetest gifts that we have in the cultural melting-pot of DFW is that we get to live life alongside people from diverse backgrounds. We get to see families and hear stories of people from across the globe, ever growing in our understanding of what it means to be made in the image of God. Both of our clients from this past week were originally from different countries, but just like everyone else in DFW, they were in need of reliable transportation to go about their daily lives. And just like in the Parable of the Good Samaritan, when we see anyone nearby that is in need, we step in and do what we can to help.

Both of these clients have asked us not to share details of their background/stories online, and we will absolutely honor that. Instead, I’d love to tell you how these vehicles will change their lives moving forward.

  • Both of these families shared that a vehicle will enable them to regain parts of their lives that were lost when they had to flee their home countries. Between these two families we had an engineer, a teacher, and a nursing student, all of whom have had an extremely difficult time utilizing their skills in the USA without a car.

  • Both clients have children they are trying to raise in an unfamiliar & forign land. A vehicle will allow them access to new ways of interacting with their neighbors and community, offering new opportunities for growth and development!

  • Both clients are practicing Christians and have had a very difficult time being consistent at church. While some walked, others had to find weekly rides from friends. Having a vehicle will allow both of them to engage further in a faith community and worship God.

To both of these clients: We pray for you and your families. That these vehicles would be a reminder that your community here in DFW loves you and wants to care for you. And even more importantly, that God loves you and is taking care of you.
