Stones Cry Out

(Bibles in 5 different languages from the first few giveaways of 2026)

Luke 19:40: "I tell you, if these keep silent, the very stones will cry out,"

Along with every vehicle we give a Bible in the recipient’s heart language. This is the language someone knows most deeply. The language their mom spoke to them; the one they made friends in; the one that they feel to their core. I was inspired to add this gift to our giveaways through my experiences overseas where I had the honor of learning stories from around the world, hailing from some of the darkest places in the world for Christians.

One woman from the Middle East received a Bible one page at a time, over the course of years, then traveled by foot and bus hundreds of miles away to find another believer to pray to receive Christ.

A man from North Africa ran from pursuit and hid in a tree only to find a Bible in a plastic bag concealed within it. He returned regularly to read and eventually reached out to my office to ask how he might follow this Jesus he read about.

Before the fall of the Soviet Union, Bibles were wrapped in ziplock bags and sent down river into countries closed to the gospel. Even today there are stories of people finding these Bibles and coming to saving faith.

OnRamp DFW has gifted Bibles to people speaking more than 10 different languages, some from countries closed to the gospel where they would never come across a Bible in their life. One person from a closed country read the Bible gifted by OnRamp DFW and asked if someone could answer their questions. Another reached out and joined us at church. Even an interpreter received the Bible in his own language for the first time.

We are sending Bibles downriver in our own way.

We have the enormous benefit of getting to continue to be in contact with those who receive these Bibles. They are no strangers to us.

Please pray that these Bibles will cry out from bookshelves and night stands.
